He was predeceased by: his mother Blanche Murphy; his parents-in-law, Florence and Joe Combs; and his sisters, Juanita Foster and Gladys Withrow.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Slayton; his daughters, Stacey Slayton, Tracey Hall (Dewayne) and Tammy Slayton (John Paul Morrison); his grandchildren, Nicholas (Taylor), Wesley, Noah (Sydney), Kathryn (Troy), Caden, Rachel, John Paul II, Bree, Payton and Bode; his great grandchildren, Milo, Wilder and Whitley; and his sister-in-law Sandra Brown (TJ).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV in Ray's honor and memory.
