He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leonard "Jimmy" Jr. and Janice Ilene Watterson (Gillispie); and his grandparents, James Leonard Sr., Dorothy Watterson, Winfred and Edith Gillispie.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Watterson (Jones); his children, Tara Conrad (Erick) of Milton, WV and Kim Sturgeon (Mike) of Apple Grove, WV; his grandchildren, Wrylie Conrad of Milton and McKynley Sturgeon of Apple Grove; his stepgranddaughter Natasha Sturgeon of Culloden; his great grandchildren, Melah and Rayla; his siblings, Janie Burris (Hugh) of Point Pleasant, Steve Watterson (Tammy) of Apple Grove and Ernie Watterson (Vicki) of Apple Grove; and his siblings-in-law, Phil, Cindy Jones, Danny and Shirley Morrow of Point Pleasant, WV. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and additional loved family members.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home (2226 Jackson Ave, Point Pleasant, WV 25550). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
