He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Isabel Damewood (Dudley); his siblings, John "Jack" Kyler (Rosalie), Ronald Damewood (Ellanor) and Jean Spencer; and his siblings-in-law, Maxine Warnick (Ronald), Tom Shaver, Gary Shaver, Don Lane and Walter Murray.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Ann Damewood (Shaver); his daughter Delisa Ann Adkins (Robert) of Fredericksburg, VA; his grandson Daniel Owen Adkins; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Murray of Fellowsville, Katie Lane of Baylis, IL and Judy Talerico of Cuzzart; his aunt Alvenia Koppel; his niece Cheryl Parker; and his nephew Danny Damewood. He is also survived by several cousins, and several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bolyard Funeral Home & Cremation (79 Morgantown Ave, Newburg, WV 26410). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
