He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Francis and Violet Virginia Funk (Nestor); and his brothers, Kenneth Ralph Funk, Willard Francis Funk and Allen "Al" Funk.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ann Funk (Fulks); his children, Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Funk and Robert Dale Funk; his granddaughters, Kari Dawn Funk and Jessica Danielle Stemple Independence (Garrett); his siblings, Donald K. Funk, Elwood G. Funk (Doris) of Macedonia, OH, Darwin Funk, Larry Funk (Lori), Gary Funk (Jeaninne), Sharon Matlick of Tunnelton and Sue Holt of Tunnelton; and his sister-in-law Sandra Kay Funk. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mount View Cemetery (204 Number 4 Rd, Tunnelton, WV 26444).
