He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Smith and Avery Smith (Mowery). He is survived by: his wife Mary Smith (Pugh); his brother Delmas (Kay) of Charlotte, NC; his siblings-in-law, Glory Smith of Augusta, WV, Robert Pugh (Judy) and Linda Hite (Greg); and his nephew Daniel "Shawn" (Whitney) of Augusta, WV.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hope Christian Church (15338 Northwestern Turnpike, Augusta, WV 26704). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fall Harvest Benefit, c/o Hope Christian Church or Valley View Greenhouse, that will benefit 3 local children battling illness: Maverick Cunningham, Riley Combs and Lylah Grace.
