He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Leona Mae Wotring and Harsh; his stepfather Spencer King Wotring; his sister Ardith Jarrett; his wife Ella Bliss Harsh (Camp); his sons, Scot Allan Ray (Mildred), Wayne Dean Ray (Karen), Richard Leroy Ray (Sheryl) and Alvin Cecil Ray of Martinsburg, WV; and his brother Tom Wotring of Fredericksburg, VA. He was also cherished by one nephew; two great-nephews; one great-niece; eleven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
