She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonzo Bolden and Ellen Moseley Bolden; her husband John T. Darcus; her children, Joan Mackey, Charles Emmett Darcus, Barbara Jo Callaghan (Wilson), Helen Pickett (Jeff) and Deborah Bland Neal; her adoptive son William "Bill" Guin; her grandchildren, Sean Callaghan, Brittany Meeks and Freddie Neal, Jr.; and her siblings, Florence Robinson, Mary Elizbeth Anthony, Rose Blake, Billie F. Scott, Gladys Thompson, Katherine "Kat" Blake and Edward "Eddie" Bolden.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Darcus Meeks, Clarence "Ted" (Rose Ann Darcus) and Cynthia Darcus; and her son-in-law Millard Mackey. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
