He was predeceased by: his parents, James Floyd Meador and Essie Lee Radford Meador; and his siblings, Mary Frances, Betty Lou Meador, Geneva "Nemo" Buckland, Rose Clark, Josie Stump, Prema Rich, Odessa Meador, Ruby Meadows, Ricky Meador, Mac Meadows and Roy Meadows.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa Lucas Meadows; his children, Michael (Tammy) of Charlestown, NH, Greg O'Neal (Misty) of Shady Spring, WV, Luke Stone of Beaver, WV and Christina Turner of Marked Tree, AR; his sisters, Hazel Mudd of Huntingtown, Ina Swartz (Skip) of Mechanicsville and Florence Redden of Hurt, Virginia; and his sisters-in-law, Jewell Meadows of Sumter, SC, Lisa Meadows of Daniels, WV and Jeannie Lucas of Beaver, WV. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home (1901 S Kanawha St, Beckley, WV 25801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
