He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee and Dora Lee Bateman (Taylor); his siblings, Franklin Bateman, Kenneth Bateman and Beatrice Bateman LeFlan; and his sister-in-law Brenda Rae Bateman (White).
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Kendrick Bateman of Shady Springs, WV; his brother Jimmy Bateman, Sr. of Davin, WV; his niece Barbara Moore of Abingdon, VA; his nephews, Bradley Bateman (Tammy) of Abingdon, VA and Jimmy Bateman (Trina) of Verner, WV; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lyndsey Lester (Dustin) of Gilbert, WV, Kaylee Bateman of Bluefield, WV, Jeffrey Bateman and Corey Bateman of Landville, WV; and his friend Bobby. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
