She was predeceased by: her parents, Clark Bennett and Ida Mae Smith Bennett; her husband John David Bennett; her children, Gary John Bennett, Louella Margaret Bennett, Melvin James Bennett and Danita Rae Simmons; and her brothers, Leonard Bennett, Paul Bennett, Clifford Bennett, Richard Bennett and Jake Bennett.
She is survived by: her children, Loretta Ruby Bennett of Beckley, Raydean Bennett (Linda Lou) of Beaver and Ernie Ralph Bennett of Beckley; her grandchildren, Kermit Ray "Buddy" Bennett, John Dean Bennett and Danita Renee Smith; and her great grandchildren, Jared Green, Gerald Bennett, Brittany Green, Makayla Green, Danielle, Gabrielle Simmons of Allyssa Simmons, A. J, Blake Smith, Ashlea Nicole Bennett, Megan Lee Bennett and Brooke Michelle Bennett. She is also survived by seven great-great grandchildren.
