He is survived by: his wife Lafonda Ward; his brother Carl Ward of Mt. Airy, NC; his children, Robin Stewart (Robbie) of Beaver and Christopher Ward (Kim) of Beaver; his grandchildren, Megan Hoskins (John), Jason "Andy" Stewart (Stephanie), Christian Ward (Maddy) and Hannah Ward; and his great grandchildren, Lilian Stewart (Lily), Parker Rice, Jason Stewart, Jr., Alyvia Rice and Allie Stewart. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
