It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Gwen Toler (Beckley, West Virginia), who passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Sturgell and Eula Mae Sturgell of Man, WV; her brothers, Roger, Brad and Jackie Sturgell; and her parents-in-law, Alfred Toler and Flora Toler.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Toler; her children, Rebecca Vance (Kevin) of Bolt and Donald Toler (Alicia) of Glen Daniel; her grandchildren, Donavan Vance, Devin Vance (Rabekka), Tristan Toler and Madison Toler; her great grandchildren, Jedidiah Vance, Artimus Vance and Denailiza Vance; and her siblings, Clifford Sturgell (Libby) of Moneta, Sherwood Sturgell of Charleston, Ray Sturgell (Cathy) of Richfield, NC, Gisele Blankenship of Logan, WV, Mary Daniel (Ronnie) of Lexington, NC, Sally Mitchell (Tom) of Sevierville, TN, Kathryn Dempsey (John) of Fairdale, Alfred Toler Jr. (Nitro), Shirlene Johnson (Nitro), Matthew (Lynn) and Barbara Ferrell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
