With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Blanche Cooper Wood of Beckley, West Virginia, born in Hinton, West Virginia, who passed away on October 5, 2022 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry "Doc" and Sarah Clementine Vance Adkins; her former husband Charles L. Cooper; her husband Leonard Wood; and her siblings, Bulah Adkins, Sadie Bragg, Goldie Patterson, Lola Bennett, Maureen Meadows, Myrtle Richmond, Daisy Bennett, Josephine Chandler, Raymond Adkins and Earnest Plumley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Reginia Welsch of Salem, OH, Charlotte Massy of Columbus, OH and Jacqueline Standiford (Dick) of Beckley; and her nieces, Teresa Lynn Ross and Donnie Jo Feijo. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several great- great grandchildren.
