He was predeceased by: his parents, James Darrell Lively and Kathleen Parrish Lively; and his brother Darrell Lively. He is survived by: his wife Geneva Wilson Lively; his children, Steven W. Lively (Nikki) of Beckley, Darrell E. Lively (Linda) of Fairdale and Lisa A. Bearfield (Jonathan) of Beckley; his sister Sandra O'Toole (Tom) of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Tonia Fox, Tiffany Coulter, Gunter Clyburn, Steven Wayne Lively II, Kasey Lively, McKenna Toney, Charles "Chuck" Lively, Rachael Lyons, David Bearfield and Megan Bostic. He is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren.
