He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleve Phipps and Laura Phipps (Snuffer); and his siblings, Maudy, Mildred (Vest), Argyle (Price), Jane (Riffe), Elwood Phipps and Freda (Cook).
He is survived by: his sons, Jerry, Joey, John and James.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calfee Funeral Home (800 S Oakwood Ave, Beckley, WV 25801). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
