He was predeceased by : his parents, William Kessler (Cotton) and Margaret Kessler (Craft); and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Kessler, Elizabeth "Liz" Kessler and William "Bill" Kessler, Jr..

He is survived by : his wife DeAnna Lynn Kessler (Trent) of Beckley, WV; his sisters, Charlotte Mae Andrews (Jesse) and Naomi "Kay" Elliott; and his pets, Zoey and Charlie. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lester First Church of God (260 2nd Ave, Lester, WV 25865). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
