He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Lee Cooper and Edna Mae Green Cooper; and his brother Ken Cooper. He is survived by : his son Brad Cooper of Beckley; his nephew Ken Cooper (Amanda) of Beckley; and his aunts, Mary Messersmith, Brenda Wyant (Richard) and Wanda West.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Rose and Quesenberry (1901 S Kanawha St, Beckley, WV 25801). A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens (5251 Robert C Byrd Dr, Beckley, WV 25801).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to the missions fund at Cranberry Baptist Church, 201 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, West Virginia 25801.
