He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Abshire (Horton); his children, Gerald Abshire Jr. of Maple Fork, Timothy Abshire of Pax, William (Bill), Cook (Ashley) of Fitzpatrick and Kelli Stevens (Keith) of Daniels; his grandchild Whitney Roberts (Donald) of Huntington; his siblings, Stan Abshire (Carla) of Sissonville, Stephen Abshire of Beckley and Pam Hall (Larry) of Ripley, WV; and his sisters-in-law, Rita Duncan of Coal City and Eva Cook of Beaver.
