He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd "Slim" Thomas and Elsie Ailstock Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Bower Thomas; his siblings, Floyd, Johnny, Jerry, Betty, Ruth, Helen and Mary Lee; his children, Jack Thomas Jr. (Beverly) of Oak Hill and Janie Thomas Slaughter (Thomas) of Winston-Salem, NC.; his granddaughters, Kelli Wilburn (Gerald) and April Smith (George); his great grandchildren, Ty, Eli, Lincoln, Jada and Leila; his brothers, Jimmy Thomas of Santa Fe, NM and Bob "Wheel" Thomas of Oak Hill; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Helvey and Nora Faye Keen. He is also survived by sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Bower Hospice House or to a charitable organization of the donor's choice.
