He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Dale Humphrey and Leona Humphrey; and his sister Kathy Epperley. He is survived by: his wife Carol Humphrey; his children, Jason Humphrey (Amber Humphrey), Christine Kinder and Joshua Humphrey (Joi Adkins); his grandchildren, Cailyn Humphrey, Phineas Humphrey and Emerson Humphrey; his brother Randall Humphrey (Terry Humphrey); and his nieces, Katie Thompson and Jennifer Epperley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Melton Mortuary Chapel (1200 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (620 S Oakwood Ave, Beckley, WV 25801). A burial was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at the Sunset Memorial Park (1925 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to the Raleigh County Library.
