He was predeceased by: his son John Stephen Lares; and his siblings, Leo Lares, David Lares, Christina Chervenak (Teenie) and Wanda Gravely.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his daughters, Lori Symes (Paul) and Mary Delaplane (Chris); his daughter-in-law Diane Frndak (Keith); his grandchildren, Karen Beilstein (Anthony), Kristen Michel (Devin), Richard Symes (Jenefer), Chris Symes, Carolyn Barrett (Ryan), Evan Delaplane and Jenna Delaplane; and his great grandchildren, Addie Beilstein, Jeremiah Beilstein, Lindy Michel, Jaundy Symes, Jacinth Symes, Lance Symes and Owen Barrett.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crab Orchard Baptist Church for Missions.
