It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kay Pence of Beckley, West Virginia, born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Sayre and Charlotte McLaughlin Sayre; her sons, Jon and Gregory Pence; and her grandchildren, Eddie and Katie Russell.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Pence (Tracy) of Troutman, NC, Joe Pence (Debby) of Beckley and Lynn Russell of Charleston, WV; and her grandchildren, Joey Pence, Justin Pence, Ashlie Pence, Alison Pence, Lindsay Pence, Mark Pence, Jr., Lucas Pence, Jessica Grainger and Greg Metrick. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
