Cox, Joseph Cox Jr., Alda Mae Cox and Belinda Ann Cox; and his uncles, James Lewis Cox Sr. and Joseph Cox Sr..

He is survived by: his sister Mary Ann Cox of Salem, VA; his children, Brian Cox, Anthony Christopher Cox of New Orleans, LA, Kazan Cox of Dayton, OH, Shelisha Cox of Flint, MI and Veronica Cox of Dayton, OH; his granddaughters, Melodee and Alani; his aunts, Mary Wiltz, Marcella Hairston, Geraldine Simms, Jeanette Cox and Emma Jean Lewis; his caregiver Barbara Cox-Mizell of Beckley, WV; and his uncle Howard Cox (Jessie) of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
