She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph R. Overbay and Betty Dillon Overbay; her husband Danny Lee Bennett; and her brother Jimmy Overbay. She is survived by: her daughter Beverly Bennett Caldwell of Lexington, VA; her grandson Samuel Miller; and her siblings, Joseph R. Overbay Jr. (Joyce), Betsy West (Mike), Ora Overbay, Morgan Overbay and Roger Overbay. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
