She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd McElmurray and Effie McElmurray. She is survived by: her husband William James "Bill" Rucker; her sons, William James Rucker III (Skylar Radford) and Brian Garrett Rucker (Emma); her grandchild Canaan; and her siblings, Leroy, Ike McElmurray and Virginia McElmurray Watson.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Martha's memory can be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia or Beckley Presbyterian Church.
