He is survived by: his wife Jessica Scott; his children, Shara Jeffries, Warren Jeffries and Marcinda Scott; his grandchild Jiraiya Lilly; his mother Catherine Scott; his siblings, Pamela Bigham (Larry), Christal White and Brian Scott; his parents-in-law, Doug Lasley and Sandy Lasley; and his pet Almond Joy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Raleigh County Humane Society in Matt's memory.
