He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ray and Mary Belle Davis; his former wife Mary Davis; and his siblings, Brenda Goddard, Jerry "Skipper" Davis, Ernie "Buck" Davis and James "Jim" Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Clay; his son Kevin Ray Davis (Lisa); his brother Kenneth "Kenny" Davis (Linda); and his grandsons, Heath Davis and Seth Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bowers Hospice House in Beckley as a thank you for the wonderful care they gave to Norman and his family.
