He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Preston Ayers and Katherine Marie Redden Ayers; and his brother Billy Ray Ayers. He is survived by: his wife Linda Martin Ayers; his children, Melissa Stalnaker (Sam) of Mt. Nebo, Orville L. Ayers Jr. (Trina) of Falls View and Melinda Ferguson (Chris Dozier) of Falls View; his sister Anna Springhower of Raytown, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Talynda Ferguson, Samantha Belt (Lucas), Jadika Stalnaker, Nevaeh Ayers and Jessica Ayers.
