It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Jo Rakes (Beckley, West Virginia), who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Canterbury and Stella Josephine Canterbury; and her siblings, Richard, Sammy McGhee and Norma Gunnoe.

She is survived by : her children, Roger Rakes (Patti) of Rockport, TX and Jennifer Gibson (Michael) of Mount Hope, WV; her grandchildren, Brandon Gibson (Cheyenne) of Lester, WV, Halie Snuffer (John) of Beckley, WV, Alyssa Gibson (Rhubien) of Midway, WV, Emily Rakes of Rockport, TX and Ashley Rakes of Rockport, TX; and her great grandchildren, Carter Gibson and Ellie Snuffer. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
