He is survived by: his wife Nettie Jane Smith; his daughter Melanie Vanderpool (Leddy) of Knoxville, TN.; his grandchildren, Kamela Johnson (Brett), Khayen Vanderpool (Bridget) of Bison, SD and Kellen Vanderpool of Sturgis, SD; his great grandchildren, Joslyn, Burke, Krew and Via; and his friends, Robert Perry and Kenny Bledsoe.
