She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli Fitzwater and Ethel Fitzwater; her daughter Dana Marshall; and the parents of child, Eli and Ethel Fitzwater.

She is survived by: her spouse Eddie Marshall; her children, Eddie Marshall II, Ginger Marshall and Wayne Marshall (Courtney); her grandchildren, Jill West, Audrey Brown and Drake Marshall; her brother Randy Fitzwater (Donna); her close friends, Betty King and Jannie Martin; and her caregiver Rachael Pack. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia in recognition of the compassionate care Phyllis received.
