She was predeceased by: her parents, Wannie Brown and Lottie Clay Brown; and her husband Eddie Covey. She is survived by: her children, Tina Bishop (Bill Bishop) of Crab Orchard and Thomas Covey (Tammy Covey) of Fairdale; her grandchildren, Rachel Bishop Kidd (Jesse Kidd) of Chicago and Mark Covey of Fairdale; her great grandchild Sylvia Kidd of Chicago; her siblings, Juanita Goldsberry of Columbia, SC and Charles; and her sister-in-law Martha Brown.
