It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Daniel Morton of Beckley, West Virginia, born in Mullens, West Virginia, who passed away on December 8, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Morton and Ethel Miller-Morton; his brothers, Melvin and Henry Morton; and his daughters, Cheryl Porter and Zina Morton Davis James.

He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Morton of Beckley, WV; his children, Robert O. Morton, Cassandra A. Owens (Clarence) of Beckley, WV and Alvin W. Morton, I (Katelynne) of Enfield, CT; his grandsons, William Clarence Davis, II of Marietta, GA and James Crawford, Jr. of Florida; and his siblings, James Morton (Rose) of Beckley, WV, Vernell Morton "Lefty" (Anna Cook) of Beckley, WV, Samuel Morton (Larbell) of Columbus, OH and Viola Martin (Joseph) of Silver Springs, MD. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.

Friends and extended family, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
