He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ronald B. Gunter and Elizabeth Mae Gunter; his wife Judith "Judy" Ann Gunter; his stepson David Morgan; his children, Valerie Reesor (Bruce) and Keith Gunter (Amber); his stepsons, Kevin Morgan (Mareena) and Mark Morgan (Trish); his brother Daniel Gunter (Carolyn); and his grandchildren, Nikki, Cari, Hayden, Bryce, Faith, Luke and Eli. He was also cherished by 3 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, West Virginia in Ronald's honor.
