With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rosetta Matherly (Beckley, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 6, 2026 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Holley Keaton Walker and Annie Walker (Meadows); and her husband Orley Carl Matherly Jr.. She is survived by: her sisters, Evelyn Roberts (Walker), Daphine Walker and Lila Walker; her children, Orley Carl Matherly III (Cheryl), Jeff Matherly (Susan), Pam Matherly-Schmidt (Mark), Kim Matherly-DeLung (Poke) and Darin Matherly (Beth); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Gierveld (Sean), John Matherly (Meredith), David Matherly, James Matherly (Rachel), Anthony Cangemi, Chris Robinson (Tiffany), Jonathan Robinson (Erin), Jason Matherly (Taylor), Christina Oliver (Frank) and Tracy Monday (Jeff); her great grandchildren, Gerrit, Nathan, Aaron, Wren, Lilah, Dominic, Broc, Kenley, Tucker, Troy and Kaiden; her niece Ella Anne Woods (Steve); her great-niece Stephanie Lemon (James); and her caregiver Rosetta.
