It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy H. Casto Jr. (Beckley, West Virginia), born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Harold Casto and Elizabeth "Lee" Thomas Casto; and his sister Mary Kathryn Casto Alterman. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Trail Casto; his children, Dr. John Casto (Maxine) of Lewisburg, WV, Dr. Glen Casto (Heidi) of Hobe Sound, FL, Dr. Jefferson Casto (Lourdes) of Lewisburg, WV and Dr. Lori Palermo (William) of Centreville, VA; his grandchildren, Dr. Grant Casto, Jackson Casto, David Casto, John Eric Casto, Alexander Casto, Maxwell Casto and Maxine Elizabeth Casto; and his friend John T. Poffenbarger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sherman C. and Maxine P. Trail fund at the Beckley Area Foundation, or to Hospice House of Southern West Virginia.
