Shirley left this world on November 14, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeland Ball Sr. and Amanda Dingess Ball; and his siblings, John, Earl, Bob, Freeland Jr., Berl, Les and Lucille Meadows.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Norine Ball; his children, Shirley Ann Meadows (Kenneth) of Pluto Road, WV, Rick Ball (Lori) of Beckley, WV and Steve Ball (Angie) of Fincastle, VA.; his granddaughters, Olivia, Lesleigh and Amelia Ball; and his sister Donna Ball Mann (Jim) of Newport, NC.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Maxwell Hill Baptist Church (301 Teel Rd, Beckley, WV 25801). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations can be made to Maxwell Baptist Church in memory of Moe.
