Dennis Bunting wrote a sympathy message

“Steve was a good man and a good friend. Our condolences to his family whom he talked about lovingly. Every day that I walk in our community, I will think of Steve. He never drove by in golf cart or his black truck without stopping to talk. Our last conversation was two days before Christmas. He said he felt blessed to be at Riverton Pointe where the residents supported and loved him. So long friend....”
