He is survived by: his wife Flora Belle; his children, Robert F Cooper and Leigh Anne Maples; and his grandchildren, Jessica Jolie Bryson and Cole F Harris.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Melton Mortuary Chapel (1200 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens (2150 Pea Ridge Rd, Oak Hill, WV 25901).
