He was predeceased by: his parents, Ermon Lewis Horton and Virvia Bailey Horton; and his siblings, Sherman Ray Horton, Thurman "Dink" Horton, Beulah Jo Khan and Amanda Hensley.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Horton; his children, Thomas Anthony Horton (Karen) of Solomons and Jamie Lee Horton of Beckley; and his siblings, William Horton of Beckley and Irene Hensley of Beckley. He is also survived by several stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Mr. Horton was a graduate of Sophia High School, and worked for the Make-A-Wish Foundation for 15 years. He also put on Gospel Sings for years to help the Make- A- Wish Foundation.
