We announce the death of Carl Peter Nielsen of Beech Bottom, West Virginia, who passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 80. Carl will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlisle Arthur and Rita Adeline Watts Nielsen; his wife Margaret "Peg" Nielsen; his son Christopher Paul Nielsen; and his brothers, Fred Bliss and Arthur Nielsen.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Eric Nielsen of Lawton, OK, Terry Nielsen of Roscoe, IL and Raynor "Ray" Nielsen (Justine) of Washington, PA; his stepsons, Joseph Magyar (Angela) and Michael O'Keef (Jennifer) of Sacramento, CA; his daughter Tina Ashinfelder of Weirton, WV; and his stepdaughters, Melissa Scheel of Steubenville, OH and Nerissa Magyar of Beech Bottom, WV. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Reasner Funeral Home (1515 Charles St, Wellsburg, WV 26070). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
