We announce the death of Howard Richard Shaw of Belington, West Virginia, who passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 87. Howard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward "Peck" and Opal Rebecca Dennison Shaw; and his siblings, Ray Shaw, Bill Shaw, Kenny Shaw, Bob Shaw, Davey Shaw and Katherine Young.
He is survived by: his spouse Etheleen Ruth Wilson; his children, Kathie Jean DeGard (Keith) of Whiting and Randy Howard Shaw of Belington; his brothers, Lyle Shaw of Michigan and George Shaw of Grafton; his granddaughters, Kiesha Duke and Christina Shaw; his great grandchildren, Ethan Duke, Eli Duke, Jenna Boukal, Kayla Boukal, Caleb Boukal, Jade Gordan and Baron Shaw; and his pet Ranger. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Talbott Funeral Home Chapel (56 N Brandenburg St, Belington, WV 26250). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
