He is survived by: his wife Debra Kay Phillips; his children, Joan Leanette Johnson Sturm (Tim) and Jason Lynn Johnson of Belington; his grandchildren, Paige Nicole Zacavish (Trevor) of Flemington, WV and Jacob Leonidas Johnson of Belington, WV.; his sister Tamra Johnson Ware (Danny) of Belington, WV.; his mother-in-law Mary Bell Phillips of Belington; his siblings-in-law, Betty Johnson of San Diego, Diane White (Eddie) of Mill Creek, WV, Donna Phillips of Belington, WV. and David Phillips (Dee Dee) of Belington, WV.; his sister Erika Haller (Dwight); his half-brother James Johnson (Jim); his father-in-law Burley Phillips; JP Corley, Bobby Poling and Wayne Harris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his Canine Companion.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Talbott Funeral Home Chapel (56 N Brandenburg St, Belington, WV 26250). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
