Martha Hedrick Obituary
Martha Alice (Moore) Hedrick, age 69, a resident of Belington, WV., was called home to her heavenly home, on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in the Emergency Department of Davis Medical Center of Elkins. She had been in her usual health however her passing was unexpected.
She was born on August 24, 1955, in Sunfield, Michigan a daughter to the late Milford Washington Moore and Ivey (French) Moore.
Martha was twice married, first to Arlan Skogstad who passed away, and second husband, James Robert Hedrick who preceded in death.
She dedicated her life to her role as a homemaker, creating a nurturing environment for her children and always being a source of support and encouragement. Martha leaves behind her children; Alan Skogstad of Beverly, Chad Hedrick, and companion Melissa Amos of Clarksburg, Cindy Skogstad, and companion, Ray Arbogast of Montrose, Kelly Williams, and husband David "Melon" of Belington, and Sarah Hedrick; grandchildren, Donald "D.J." Kisner II, Brayden Hedrick, Brooklynn Hedrick, Breanna Fry, Tyler Williams, Elijah Williams, Wyatt Howell, Nevaeh Howell, Hailey Howell, and Noah Howell; sisters, Linda Null Newlon, and husband Jim of Montrose, Jenny Hershman, and husband Randy of Parsons, Carol Moore of Belington, and Lori Barcus, and companion Dick Kisner of Kernes; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her death besides her parents and husbands, were two brothers, Larry Moore, and Kevin Moore.
Martha was a Christian by faith, she was a member of the Elkins Church of God, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, she loved to fish, making necklaces, knitting, making pillows, putting puzzles together, and crafts and she loved being with her dogs, Tiffany, and Little Girl. Martha's life was a testament to love and devotion, and she will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the strength she brought to her family. Martha will be remembered for her warm smile, her laughter that could light up a room, and her ability to find joy in the small moments of life. She was a friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends may gather at the Elkins Church of God, 1402 Taylor Ave., Elkins on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 11 am until 1pm. A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm with Bishop Jamie Estep officiating and burial will follow in the Mouse Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her husband James. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
