She was predeceased by : her husband Adam Johnson Sr.; her parents, Edward Cotter and Anne Cotter; her brother Kenneth Cotter; and her grandmother Mary Silwonuk of Baltimore, Maryland..

She is survived by : her children, Julie Tawney (CJ) of Charleston and Adam Johnson Jr. of Malden; her grandchildren, Abigail Lynn Myers (Sam), Jonathan Edward Matthew Tawney, Adam Johnson III and Jaymez Johnson; and her sister Maria Kwiaktkowski of Baltimore.
