He is survived by: his sister Krista Heasley Kerns; his wife Margaret; his son Michael Herald (Alicia); his grandchildren, ReBecca Herald Sizemore (Chris), Trentan Sizemore, Samual Herald (Megan), Grant Sizemore and Brooke Herald; his great grandchildren, Elliott and Arlo Herald; and his niece Lori Beth Kerns.
