He is survived by: his wife Doris Joann Shields Smith; and his children, Beth Smith, Cheryl Taylor (Dan), David Smith and Crystal Shaw (Mark). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
