She was predeceased by: her parents, Ithamer Harris Giffin and Laura Louella Matheny Giffin; her spouse Russell Thomas; and her siblings, Ada Mae Wade, Clyde, Doris Eileen, Dora Belle Deem, Chester, Herman, Edith Freeman, Raymond, Harvey and Hazel Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Louella Powell (Edward), Robert Thomas and Julie Barnes (Don); her grandchildren, Katie Foster (Harry), Jared Powell (Jessica), Ryan Thomas (Bella) and David Barnes (Caroline); her great grandchildren, Emmett Powell and Ayla Powell; and her siblings, Margaret Reeves, Pauline McVey and Gerry Giffin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lambert Tatman Funeral Home (2333 Pike St, Parkersburg, WV 26101). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
