He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thomas and June Eileen Smith (Salyers); and his brother-in-law James Friend. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Smith of McMechen; his daughter Melissa Smith of Pittsburgh; his sister-in-law Virginia (Ginny); his friend Benwood; his cousins, Donna, Bill Grigsby, Pamela Campbell and Barbara Thornton of Wheeling; his nephew Michael (Shawna); and his friend Powhatan Point.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the family.
