He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Leo "Duke" and Phyllis Lorraine McBee Cain; and his siblings, Debra Lynn Chapman and Tye Lee Cain. He is survived by: his nieces, April Mae Chapman, Heidi Elaine Chapman, Becky Cain and Rachel Ann Chapman; his nephew Charles Wellington Camden Chapman; and his brother-in-law Darius Dale Chapman.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dale's memory may be made directly to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
